Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame 2015 is a remarkable Champagne that exudes elegance and depth. Crafted in the iconic style of the renowned Veuve Clicquot house, this vintage Champagne showcases a harmonious blend of flavors and a rich, expressive character.

The nose reveals a delicate tapestry of aromas, where hints of freshly-baked pastries mingle with notes of ripe orchard fruits. The palate is greeted with a graceful effervescence that carries flavors of crisp apples, subtle pear, and a touch of citrus zest. These fruit notes intertwine seamlessly with more complex layers of toasted almonds and a gentle hint of brioche, adding depth to the tasting experience. The wine's refined structure is upheld by a precise acidity that imparts freshness and liveliness to each sip. As the wine unfolds on the palate, it culminates in a lingering finish that leaves a trail of nuanced flavors and a sense of luxurious satisfaction.

Critic Ratings

Tasting Panel Review - Rated 98:
The 2015 blends 90% Pinot Noir with 10% Chardonnay from eight Grands Crus, combining verve with supple polish. Bosc pear, brioche and lemon curd meet smoke, stone, petrichor, jasmine and ginger. Peach, Asian pear and citrus build toward a tangy, peppery finish that remains stylish and precise.

Wine Spectator Review - Rated 95:
Smoke and toasted brioche transition into pastry-shop apple, blackberry, candied ginger and mandarin peel. The Champagne is seamless and mouthwatering, with a mineral underpinning and finely detailed bead. A lush, creamy texture carries through the vibrant finish, with a drinking window through 2035.

Wine Enthusiast Review - Rated 95:
This is a rich, beautifully structured Champagne with impressive presence. Fine maturity and layered ripeness are balanced by a generous texture. It is already fully expressive and ready to drink.

James Suckling Review - Rated 93:
Green apple, lemon peel and lime blossom meet salted almond and pastry aromas. The medium-bodied palate is vivid and refreshing, with lively acidity and very fine bubbles. Made from 90% Pinot Noir and 10% Chardonnay, it can be enjoyed now or held.

Robert Parker Wine Advocate Review - Rated 92:
Spring flowers, lemon oil, spice and freshly baked bread shape the aromatic profile. The palate is medium- to full-bodied, elegant and seamless, with a deep core of fruit and lively acidity. A saline, mineral finish gives the wine freshness and definition.
